Mark Alan Webber is an Australian racing driver. Born in 1976 in Queanbeyan, he began his driving career early, at about 4-years old, with a motorbike. Then Mark switched to karting, and in 1994, made his car racing debut in the Australian Formula Ford Championship. In 1997 he met Norbert Haug, the Mercedes-Benz motorsport boss, and was offered a contract for FIA GT Championship with AMG Mercedes. The following year Webber entered in 24 Hours of Le Mans but retired pretty quickly due to technical issues.
Webber made his Formula 1 debut in 2002 with Minardi, then went Jaguar and Williams. He finished his F1 career at the championship-winning team, Red Bull, unfortunately, as their number 2 driver. Webber got 9 Grand Prix wins to his name and eventually returned to Endurance racing with Porsche…………
