The company Scuderia Ferrari, founded in 1929 in Modena has left forever a footprint in the history of the Formula One Championship. The legend and the achievements of these brilliant racing cars elevate it over all other teams.

The most successful team in car races with countless victories in sports cars and an unbeatable record of 125 victories in the Grand Prix from 619 starts in its history. The stable of “The Prancing Horse” evolves overwhelming excitement.

Ferrari has participated in every World Championship since its establishment in 1950 and used the talents of some of the most colorful and talented persons in this sport.

Driving for the team of Alfa Romeo, Enzo Ferrari became the manager of one of the most successful private teams and chose the emotional logo of Cavallino rampante (the prancing horse) for his team from Modena. The heraldic gift was delivered by the family of the Italian pilot in World War I Francesco Baracca. At first, Ferrari was the sporting director of the factory of Alfa Romeo, then he left and founded his own team in 1940. He, together with the designer Giancarlo Colombo constructed the first car, model 125 S, which was called Ferrari. This car took part in the Mille Miglia race that year………………..

With the innovative model F399 in 1999, the famous Maranello stable managed to win the cherished dream – the constructors’ world title.

The story of the Prancing Horse is simple yet fascinating. The Horse was painted on the turbine of a fighter plane, piloted by Francesco Baracca, a heroic Italian pilot who died on  Montello Hill, the Italian ace of the aces of World War I.

Enzo Ferrari remembers: “In 1923 when I won the first race at the Savio track in Ravenna, I met Count Enrico Baracca, the pilot’s father, and his mother, Countess Paolina. One day she said to me: “Ferrari, put my son’s prancing horse on your cars. It will bring you luck.” I still keep the photograph of Baracca, with his parents’ dedication, in which they entrusted me with the logo. The Prancing Horse was and remains black. I added only the canary yellow background which is the colour of Modena.”
